How Much Does A Marussia B2 Cost

Vitamin B2, or riboflavin, is one of eight B vitamins that are essential for human health. It can be found in grains, plants, and dairy products. It is crucial for breaking down food components, absorbing other nutrients, and maintaining tissues.

Vitamin B2 is a water-soluble vitamin, so it dissolves in water. All vitamins are either water soluble or fat soluble. Water-soluble vitamins are carried through the bloodstream, and whatever is not needed passes out of the body in urine.

People need to consume vitamin B2 every day, because the body can only store small amounts, and supplies go down rapidly.

Riboflavin occurs naturally in some foods, added to others, and it can be taken as supplements. Most of it is absorbed in the small intestine.

Cruciferous vegetables are a source of vitamin B2, but steam them rather than boiling them.

Vitamin B2 helps break down proteins, fats, and carbohydrates. It plays a vital role in maintaining the body's energy supply.

Riboflavin helps convert carbohydrates into adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The human body produces ATP from food, and ATP produces energy as the body requires it. The compound ATP is vital for storing energy in muscles.

Along with vitamin A, vitamin B is essential for:

  • Maintaining the mucous membranes in the digestive system
  • Maintaining a healthy liver
  • Converting tryptophan into niacin, an amino acid
  • Keeping the eyes, nerves, muscles and skin healthy
  • Absorbing and activating iron, folic acid, and vitamins B1, B3 and B6
  • Hormone production by the adrenal glands
  • Preventing the development of cataracts
  • Fetal development, especially in areas where vitamin deficiency is common

Some research suggests that vitamin B2 may help prevent cataracts and migraine headache, but further studies are needed to confirm this.

Other studies have found that in children with autism, supplements of vitamins B2, B6, and magnesium appear to reduce the levels of abnormal organic acids in the urine.

Vitamin B2 comes from food.

Sources of B2 include:

Meat, fish, and dairy products provide vitamin B2.

  • Fish, meat, and poultry, such as turkey, chicken, beef, kidneys, and liver
  • Eggs
  • Dairy products
  • Asparagus
  • Artichokes
  • Avocados
  • Cayenne
  • Currants
  • Fortified cereals
  • Kelp
  • Lima beans, navy beans, and peas
  • Molasses
  • Mushrooms
  • Nuts
  • Parsley
  • Pumpkins
  • Rosehips
  • Sage
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Cruciferous vegetables, such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, spinach, dandelion greens, and watercress
  • Whole-grain breads, enriched breads, and wheat bran
  • Yeast extract

Vitamin B2 is water soluble, so cooking foods can cause it to be lost. About twice as much B2 is lost through boiling as it is through steaming or microwaving.

How much do we need?

According to Oregon State University, the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of vitamin B2 in for men aged 19 years and over is 1.3 milligrams per day, and for women, it is 1.1 milligram per day. During pregnancy, women should have 1.4 milligrams per day, and when breastfeeding, 1.6 milligrams per day.

Vitamin B2 deficiency is a significant risk when diet is poor, because the human body excretes the vitamin continuously, so it is not stored. A person who has a B2 deficiency normally lacks other vitamins too.

There are two types of riboflavin deficiency:

  • Primary riboflavin deficiency happens when the person's diet is poor in vitamin B2
  • Secondary riboflavin deficiency happens for another reason, maybe because the intestines cannot absorb the vitamin properly, or the body cannot use it, or because it is being excreted too rapidly

Riboflavin deficiency is also known as ariboflavinosis.

Signs and symptoms of deficiency include:

A lack of vitamin B2 can lead to mouth ulcers and other complaints.

  • Angular cheilitis, or cracks at the corners of the mouth
  • Cracked lips
  • Dry skin
  • Inflammation of the lining of the mouth
  • Inflammation of the tongue
  • Mouth ulcers
  • Red lips
  • Sore throat
  • Scrotal dermatitis
  • Fluid in mucous membranes
  • Iron-deficiency anemia
  • Eyes may be sensitive to bright light, and they may be itchy, watery, or bloodshot

People who drink excessive amounts of alcohol are at greater risk of vitamin B deficiency.

Normally, vitamin B2 is considered safe. An overdose is unlikely, as the body can absorb up to around 27 milligrams of riboflavin, and it expels any additional amounts in the urine.

However, it is important to talk to a physician before taking any supplements, especially as these can interfere with other medications.

Supplements can interact with other medications, and B2 supplements may impact the effectiveness of some drugs, such as anticholinergic medications and tetracycline.

Sometimes a doctor may recommend supplementation, for example, if a patient is using a drug that can interfere with the absorption of riboflavin.

Drugs that may interfere with riboflavin levels in the body include:

  • Tricyclic antidepressants, such as imipramine, or Tofranil
  • Some antipsychotic drugs, such as chlorpromazine, or Thorazine
  • Methotrexate, used for cancer and autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis
  • Phenytoin, or Dilantin, used to control seizures
  • Probenecid, for gout
  • Thiazide diuretics, or water pills

Doxorubicin, a drug used in cancer therapy, may deplete levels of riboflavin, and riboflavin may affect how doxorubicin works.

The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMM) note that very high amounts of vitamin B2 may lead to itching, numbness, burning or prickling, yellow or orange urine and sensitivity to light. To prevent an imbalance of B vitamins, they suggest using a B-complex vitamin if supplementation is needed.

Lexus Company Limited 2018 Anniversary

Lexus Company Limited 2018 Anniversary

The company's performance F division turns 10 in 2018

by , on LISTEN 04:17

Launched in 1989 as a luxury division of Japanese carmaker Toyota, the Lexus brand is getting ready to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2019. But until that happens, Lexus has another event to celebrate. In 2008, the Japanese firm introduced its first F model, thus entering the performance-rated luxury market. A decade later and Lexus is throwing a party for the sub-brand with two anniversary models. One of them is the RC F 10th Anniversary Special Edition and made its debut at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show.

Much like most special-edition Lexus models, the RC F 10th Anniversary coupe isn't radically different compared to the standard model. Updates include special paint and wheels on the outside, a unique trim for the leather interior, and a few extra standard features. It also comes in limited numbers, so this coupe won't be around for a very long time. Let's find out more about it below.

Continue reading to learn more about the Lexus RC F 10th Anniversary Special Edition.

What makes the Lexus RC F 10th Anniversary Edition Special?

  • Special paint from the LFA supercar
  • Exclusive wheels
  • Blue brake calipers
  • Blue leather and accents inside
  • Embossed seat headrests
  • Engraved plaques on door panels
  • Blue carbon-fiber trim
  • Standard Torsen-limited slip differential
  • Standard variable dampers
  • Optional torque vectoring differential
  • Only 240 units built

All cars are finished in Nebula Gray, a matte paint borrowed from the LFA

This special-edition RC F isn't all that different on the outside. There aren't any aerodynamic updates, which is a bit disappointing for an anniversary model, but Lexus did use a special paint. All cars are finished in Nebula Gray, a matte paint taken from the LFA's palette. Actually, this anniversary model is the first to use this specific color since the supercar was discontinued in late 2012. And I must say it suits this beefed-up coupe very well.

The exterior is rounded off by a set of 19-inch, multi-spoke wheels wrapped in polished black paint and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires for optimum grip. Behind them, we can see bright blue brake calipers. That's a nice touch, as it adds a splash of color to the otherwise black exterior. It also provides hints as to what's inside the cabin.

The traditional black interior of the RC F is highlighted by blue accents all over the place

Yes, the traditional black interior of the RC F is highlighted by blue accents all over the place. There's blue carbon-fiber trim on the window switch panel and passenger-side dashboard and blue leather on the seats. The latter also features white accents for a more luxurious look. The steering wheel and gear shift knob are also wrapped in black leather and white stitching, while the former also has a white stripe at the 12'o-clock position. The dashboard hood is also covered in white leather.

The seats and headliner are embossed with the letter "F," while the engraved plaques on the doors certify the limited-edition status.

2018 Lexus RC F 10th Anniversary Special Edition - image 765256

The familiar 5.0-liter V-8 sends the usual 467 horsepower to the rear wheels

Under the hood, 10th Anniversary Edition is as standard as Lexus RC F's get, with the familiar 5.0-liter V-8 sending the usual 467 horsepower to the rear wheels. At least you get the traditional naturally aspirated engine and rear-wheel drive. An eight-speed transmission routes the oomph to the wheels, helping the coupe sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds. The Torsen limited-slip differential and variable dampers are standard, while the torque vectoring differential is available as an option.

Pricing information is not yet available, but Lexus says that additional options packages will be required for this model. Only 240 units will be built, corresponding to the current number of Lexus dealerships in the U.S. Expect this coupe to hit showrooms in the summer of 2018.

Triumph Rocket Roadster Top Speed

Triumph Rocket Roadster Top Speed

Quick Review by Maxabout Team

The British two-wheeler giant, Triumph has launched its one of their most prestigious bikes, Rocket III in India. This high status cruiser bike will take on bikes like Yamaha V-max in India. Let's get in to the detailing of this bike.

Design and Style

Rocket III is a long and wide stance cruiser bike. Unlike other cruiser bikes, Rocket III gets comparatively less chrome treatment which differentiates it from others. The twin headlights at its front also make it quite easy for you to identify it from a distance. The elongated black colored front forks come with orange colored side on indicators. Its extremely pointed and broad front fender looks great in black matte finish. The tip and side extensions of this fender have been garnished with chrome. This color mixture looks premium and goes well with the bulky front tyre and alloy wheel. The twin circular naked instrument dials on the top of its headlight looks proportionate and makes it look macho. The chrome finished rear view mirrors are mounted on its wide handle bar. The bike looks interesting sideways. Three chrome exhaust pipes come out of its black finished engine and integrate into a long muffler. The bike has one muffler on each side. The matte finish continues on its other body panels also which includes its side panels and stretched fuel tank which also features the name of the company. The split seats look well positioned on this bike while the angular chrome bar on the rear cowl makes it look classy. Rocket III has an extremely wide rear tyre and fender. This fender also carries the retro styled tail light, number plate and side indicators.

Instrument Console

Rocket III has a modern combined analogue digital instrument console. The bike has a LCD trip computer, digital clock and odometer. It has a circular dial for its analogue tachometer, speedometer and fuel gauge. This instrument console also features fuel level indicator and gear position indicator.

Engine and Gearbox

Rocket III became the first bike to feature the largest displacement engine of 2294cc. It's a three cylinder, DOHC engine which pumps out a power output of 145.9 bhp at 5750 rpm. The utmost torque production of this liquid cooled engine is of 221 Nm which arrives at 2750 rpm. The bike uses a five-speed manual gearbox which has one gear down and fours gears up-shift pattern.

Acceleration and Performance

The high displacement of this engine gives enough power to this bike to surprise you with its awesome low range. The bike musters up all its torque at only 2750 rpm which gives it instant throttle reaction and avoids any type of turbo lag. The bike manages to reach 0-100km/hr in less than 4.5 seconds. It can cross the speed of 100km/hr in its first gear. The short gear ratios also help the power of this engine to reach this bike quickly. The maximum power of this engine arrives early at 5750rpm which gives it strong low and mid-range. The power to weight ratio of this bike is less than its competitor though and that reflects when you drive this bike at high speeds. The bike feels best when driven around 150-170km/hr. It remains stable and calm. If you try to push this bike really hard then you might complain about the refinement level of this engine. It's certainly not more refined than the V4 engine of V-max but it is better than many other premium cruiser bikes.

Mileage

It's a bulky machine so don't expect good fuel economy from this bike. The fuel efficiency of this bike may vary from 8-10km/ltr.

Comfort while Driving

The bike is a complete winner in this department. The highly stuffed seat of Rocket III gives you optimum comfort on long journeys and its low position also gives you enough space to settle on this bike. The wide handle bar offers firm palm grip and feels well in reach. It's a vibration less handlebar which gives you confidence at high speeds. The front set foot-pegs further enhance your comfort as your knees feel relax around its spacious tank.

Storage Space and Safety Features

The side panels offer some storage space in this bike. Its twin headlights provide you clear vision of roads at night.

Suspension and Brakes

Rocket III has adjustable KYB 43mm forks at its front while it features 5-way adjustable twin shocks at the back. The bike has twin disc brakes of 320mm at its front with 4-piston callipers and single rear disc brake of 316mm with 2-piston calliper. The bike is also equipped with an advanced ABS which helps you to stop this heavy beast accurately.

Ride and Handling

This long cruiser bike has a stretched wheelbase of 1695mm which confirms its stability at high speeds. The strong suspension system easily carries the weight of this bike and also keeps it grounded on highways and boosts the confidence of rider while changing lanes. The powerful braking system also allows you to get control over this bike and improves its ride quality in city traffic. Handling this bike on highways or at high speeds is not an issue but while driving it on city roads, you have to be bit careful. The bike follows your command but it takes time. Its ground clearance of 140mm though helps you to turn this bike at slow speeds.

Verdict

Undoubtedly, it's a high performance cruiser bike which has classy looks to attract everyone. It also has modern features and offers comfortable ride and handling which you expect from any cruiser bike of this segment. The price of the bike is INR 20 lakhs (Ex-Delhi). Yes, we feel it will be an overpriced bike but it's certainly not costlier than the social reputation which you will enjoy after buying it.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON CVO CREATES FOUR EXCITING MODELS FOR 2010

Now in its 11th year, the mission of the CVO program is to design and build limited-production, factory-custom motorcycles for customers who appreciate brilliant chrome, exquisite paint, thundering power and the exclusivity of owning and riding a very special motorcycle.

Harley-Davidson will offer two all-new CVO models for 2010.

2010 CVO Softail Convertible: Designed to be a "two-in-one" touring-and-cruising motorcycle, the CVO Softail Convertible features a new compact fairing, leather saddlebags, a passenger pillion, and upright with backrest that are each quickly detachable. A new full-coverage rear fender, a five-inch digital speedometer with analog tachometer, Stinger chrome aluminum wheels and Ventilator high-flow engine air intake all debut on the CVO Softail Convertible.

2010 CVO Street Glide: The ultimate hot rod bagger from Harley-Davidson, the CVO Street Glide features new 18-inch front and rear "Agitator" contrast chrome wheels, hydraulic rear shocks with adjustable preload, a low-profile custom seat with matching passenger backrest, and a lowered-and-trimmed front fender. New full-depth extended saddlebags are flanked with filler strips incorporating LED stop/tail/turn lighting.

Two CVO models are reprised for 2010 with new paint and features:

2010 CVO Ultra Classic Electra Glide: This magnificent custom touring machine features a new flamed paint scheme, new LED saddlebag lights and LED King Tour-Pak brake/tail light. The seat and backrest have a new perforated leather insert. The backrest also now features adjustable lumbar support. New dimpled trim items and medallions are also included.

2010 CVO Fat Bob: Wide and muscular, the 2010 CVO Fat Bob debuts an exclusive new plating process called Midnight Pearl that is featured on the headlight shell, timer and derby covers, fender strut covers and other components. An all-new paint scheme is offered in three color combinations.
Each 2010 CVO model is powered by the fuel-injected Screamin' Eagle Twin Cam 110 V-Twin, the largest-displacement engine produced by Harley-Davidson, rated at up to 115 ft. lbs. of torque. This engine is only available from the factory in CVO models.

Harley-Davidson CVO motorcycles are produced in limited numbers by a team of highly skilled technicians in a special assembly area at the Harley-Davidson production facilities in Kansas City, Mo., and York, Pa. CVO models are customized using existing components from the Harley-Davidson Genuine Motor Accessories catalog, and with many all-new custom parts that are exclusive to CVO models. The CVO program is often used to introduce new custom components and techniques before they are offered as individual accessories. Harley-Davidson CVO motorcycles are backed by a two-year, unlimited mileage warranty.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON ROLLS OUT NINE NEW MODELS FOR 2010

More Performance, Features and Value Across Six Motorcycle Platforms

MILWAUKEE (July 25, 2009) – Harley-Davidson roars into 2010 with nine new motorcycle models, the most expansive new-product introduction in the history of the Motor Company. Across six model platforms, Harley-Davidson achieves a fusion of tradition and technology in a motorcycle product line that offers more power, luxury, and style, and more value.

"This ambitious new motorcycle launch reaches to our riders with the incredible passion that Harley-Davidson has inspired for more than a century," said Bill Davidson, Harley-Davidson Vice President of Core Customer Marketing. "We are thrilled to offer our customers nine new models and a full selection of products for 2010 that lets their enthusiasm for enjoying great motorcycles continue at full throttle."

Highlights of the 2010 Harley-Davidson® line include:

As the new king of the Harley-Davidson Touring line, the Electra Glide® Ultra Limited model delivers the performance upgrade of a Twin Cam 103™ engine, and features standard equipment items previously offered only as accessories on regular-production Harley-Davidson Touring models.
The new Road Glide® Custom model looks lean and mean, with a slammed suspension, 18-inch front wheel and a new 2-into-1 exhaust system.

The Wide Glide® returns as an all-new Dyna® model done in old-school chopper style, with black laced wheels, a chopped rear fender, black "wire" sissy bar, 2-1-2 Tommy Gun exhaust and an optional flame paint scheme. Priced starting at $14,499, the Wide Glide is also a great new value.
The new Street Glide® Trike brings stripped-down, hot-rod styling to the three-wheel category, and joins the Tri Glide™ Ultra Classic® in an all new Trike family for 2010.

Dressed in satin chrome and denim black, the new Fat Boy® Lo presents a darker and lower interpretation of the motorcycle that still defines the fat-custom segment.

The 2010 Street Glide® model gets even more hot-rod soul, with updates that include a larger front wheel, slimmed-down exhaust, and a new tail light assembly. Street Glide takes a classic Harley-Davidson Touring profile to a low, light and lean extreme.

No motorcycle on the road today matches the modern street attitude of the three exciting models in the Harley-Davidson VRSC™ family: V-Rod®, Night Rod® Special and V-Rod Muscle®. The explosive performance of the liquid cooled Revolution® V-Twin engine keeps VRSC at the top of the power cruiser food chain in 2010.

The American motorcycle legend that is Harley-Davidson Sportster® features six models for 2010, including the $7,999 Iron 883™ introduced mid-year 2009 and four others priced less than $10,000.
Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations™ (CVO™), masters of shimmering chrome and bold paint, offers four new limited-production models for 2010. The CVO Softail® Convertible is a versatile urban touring motorcycle, while the CVO Street Glide is a high-performance hot-rod bagger. The CVO Ultra Classic® Electra Glide® and CVO Fat Bob® models are refreshed for 2010 with new paint schemes and styling details. All CVO models are powered by a Twin Cam 110™ engine, the largest displacement V-Twin offered by Harley-Davidson.
